Across 36 states and the District of Columbia, 40,000 AT&T retail workers walked off the job on Friday, May 19, because a tentative agreement could not be reached between AT&T Mobility and the Communication Workers of America (CWA). The strike is slated to last 3 days. Visit http://unityatattmobility.org to learn more.
“We stand with our CWA sisters and brothers on strike this weekend,” said President Dimondstein. “I encourage all APWU members and activists to support the strike and get involved.”
There will be events today, Saturday and Sunday, and members are encouraged to participate. Click here to find a picket line near you. In standing with our brothers and sisters at AT&T, we can stand up against corporate greed and fight for good jobs for all of us!
Can’t join the picket line? Wait until Monday to conduct business at an AT&T store. Don’t cross the line!
Strikers return to work on Monday, May 22.
